The countdown is on and Atlanta is gearing up for a classic first-of-its-kind event with Award winning actor Isaiah Washington. In “An Evening with Isaiah Washington” organized by DUNIA Magazine on bridging the gap between Africans and African Americans, participants will be treated to a memorable evening which will unwind in 2 parts.
The event is scheduled to take place on August 31 at the Intrigue Event Center, 95 Crestridge Drive, Suwanee, GA 30024.
PART 1
6PM – 10PM EST: Main Event
The first part which is expected to draw guests especially business minds across Georgia and from around the country will include a discussion with Award-winning Actor Isaiah Washington (Twitter: @IWashington) on identity, culture, success, lessons learned mostly based on Mr Washington’s book A Man From Another Land: How Finding My Roots Changed My Life.
The conversation will also focus on important topics such as forging positive connections with Africa, business opportunities that exist on the continent, and how to best impact the continent of Africa positively. A panel of business owners in a variety of fields from medicine to technology will be a part of this conversation.
In attendance will be members of various consulates in Atlanta and other renowned personalities.
Dunia Magazine will also be officially launched during this segment of the program.
Guests and participants will be treated to live performances by singers and artists of different cultures.

Why get involved
The Gondobay Manga Foundation founded by Isaiah Washington believes that “by investing in education, we can all help eradicate poverty in African communities and help mold the next generation of leaders. Every child in today’s world deserves an education; hence an opportunity to overcome crippling effects of poverty and become productive citizens”.
Proceeds from this event will be donated to The Gondobay Manga Foundation for the Chief Foday Golia Memorial School in Njala Kendema, Sierra Leone.
