Women Are Core is a DUNIA Magazine initiative birthed after the March 23, 2013 Atlanta Walk For Congo march. The vision as reads on the organization’s website is captured in the following words: “By empowering women, we empower society. Our organization, rooted in the belief that women are the core elements of our communities, is aimed at the uplifting and empowerment of women around the world.”
Women and men from all walks of life, cultures and races are invited to join as membership registration opens. The founding members look forward to sharing the experience with you.
The message of invitation:
On behalf of Women Are Core Inc., I am delighted to welcome you to our organization. Members of our team have a long and successful history of serving the public. We do not take our work lightly; we recognize and understand the challenges we face in being a voice for women around the world.
Through our programs, you now have a chance to be a part of an initiative that supports women and children suffering in war torn countries, giving them a voice and a second chance at life. Because we are focused on providing cross-cultural insights and solutions, you will discover incredible parts of the world and the people, history, and culture, while making a difference.
Our programs also lay special emphasis on your empowerment. We like to make sure members are living in prosperity, that we are providing the support needed for your success.
Our volunteers and team members work in many different areas of service – education, non-profit work, activism, public service, health care and more. We will work to match your skills and interests with the current needs of the local community and of the organization. Ask us how you can volunteer today.
I came to America from Cameroon many years ago and soon fell in love with the spirit of this great country – which is primarily that of giving, of missions. Africa where some of our efforts will be focused on, has a proud and rich heritage. We all feel privileged now to have the opportunity to give back to those who need us most – mothers, sisters, children living in desperate situations. Through our efforts, and by spreading a message of love and togetherness, we will all make a difference. Servant leadership is core in our mission of giving, teaching and learning.
We believe that empowered women create strong families which in turn create stronger and more just societies. At Women Are Core we are committed to continuing that tradition of meeting the needs of women and girls, whether in the local community or in faraway places.
Each of our members is valued as uniquely created. We are all assets to our communities and to the world at large. We recognize that true individual happiness lies in discovering and realizing one’s human potential. This is why we pay particular attention to the individuality of members. You will never simply be a name on a roster. We take pride in creating an atmosphere of community where all are welcome to fully participate, and in providing resources and opportunities needed for our ladies to experience wholesomeness in their lives.
To learn more and to get started, I invite you to complete our online Membership Inquiry form. I’m sure that you will soon fall in love as I did with the spirit and mission of Women Are Core, Inc.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Lema Abeng-Nsah
