The song is about N Stan’s struggles as an artist. ‘Mbambe’, which is slang for ‘work without pay’, is an afrobeat sound with some tropical flavour. Inspired by the late Afrobeat icon Fela Kuti, the song has become a new street anthem.
The deluxe version of Mbambe initially released in 2015, was produced by Phillbill Beatz, and the video directed by Mr. Adrenaline.
