CORE BELIEFS THAT INFORMED WAYNE DYER’S TEACHINGS
According to a Los Angeles Times article: Wayne Walter Dyer never met his father, who abandoned his mother and her three children shortly after his birth. Until he was 10, Dyer lived in foster homes and orphanages. By then, his mother had remarried and took him back in — but his stepfather was an abusive alcoholic.
“I was aware at age 10 that whatever happens to me, my own destiny was right in my own little hands and in nobody else’s,” Dr Dyer said to fosterclub.com, an online organization for foster children. “That’s a liberating realization at any age.”
Dr. Wayne Dyer was diagnosed with chronic leukemia in 2009.
In 2011, Dyer gave in-depth interviews about his healing from the deadly disease after treatment by controversial Brazilian psychic surgeon John of God.
The cause of Dr. Wayne Dyer’s death is not yet known. An announcement on his Facebook page today read:
“We just received the coroner’s report of Wayne’s death and the report indicated that he did not have a trace of leukemia in his body. For those of you who have been listening to his talks or reading his recent books you know that he was diagnosed with leukemia but felt he was able to eliminate it from his body and this report confirms what he already knew.”
A renowned speaker, author, and one of the most respected American self-help gurus, Dr. Wayne Dyer believed that:
“it is possible for every person to manifest their deepest desires — if they honor their inner divinity and consciously choose to live from their “Highest Self”.
Dr. Dyer appeared on numerous TV shows, including Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday, where he was a regular.
